Can you recall when you last heard the captivating call of a Great blue heron? Remarkably, this unique sound has echoed through time for over 30 million years, connecting us to the primordial past of our planet's wildlife.
I am driven to get out into the wild and immerse myself in the wondrous sights, sounds, and smells of natural history, and harmonize myself with the circadian rhythms of life.
As a person who loves creating (art, storytelling, writing, gardening, and now learning to outsmart chickens with taller fences, etc.,), once I got my superzoom lens in 2020, I was able to capture wildlife from a safe distance, and with a composition I was happy with.
I am now based in Santa Fe, NM, and am blessed to live in such a beautiful state, where I am getting acquainted with new birds and animals of the high desert mountains.
What is your experience with nature and wildlife?
I use a superzoom lens and do my best to remain outside of the "bubble" to avoid disturbing my subjects. I want to capture animals in their habitat, doing as they do.
